Smoking's good for you......

For the past few months I've been working on this Chinese Biodiversity project (more later), and as a result I've been paying more attention to all things China. Its good to know that even as China modernizes, some things remain the same, namely the total disregard of personal safety in the name of increasing the People's National Economy:

It also says something on the increased prominence of the blogosphere. I first heard this report on NPR, but the only sites covering it (for free) are blogs. How about that?
